La soledad.

Es curioso lo relativa que es la soledad. Puedes estar rodeado de gente y sentirla o estar solo y echarla en falta.
La soledad es un estado, en ocasiones optativo. Otras parece que te acompaña. No importa lo lejos que te vayas que irá contigo, esperará paciente y, en el momento oportuno, volverá a hacer acto de presencia. No se quedará para siempre, pero se irá para volver.
Es como la visita de un familiar, a veces lo disfrutas y desearías que se quedase por más tiempo y otras es inoportuna, larga y hasta tediosa.
Podría decir que en ocasiones es hasta necesaria. La vida va cuesta arriba y hay momentos que caes... aunque esa caída suele servir para coger impulso para el siguiente salto.
Cuando te invade notas un silencio interior en el que podrías sentir el eco y a la misma vez tu mente no deja de pronunciar palabras, hechos, personas… con cierta coherencia aunque en ocasiones inconexos; siendo tú mismo el único punto en común.
Yo la dejo entrar en mí, la escucho, la siento, hasta la disfruto. A veces me hace sentir bien, otras me sumerge en la oscuridad. Cuando esto me pasa, me regodeo en ella. Desaparezco durante un tiempo y cuando me abandona, vuelvo a ser yo de nuevo.
Ciclos que se repiten una y otra vez.

It’s funny how relative is loneliness. You can be surrounded by people and I feel it or be alone and miss it.
Loneliness is a state, sometimes optative. Other seems it walks with you. No matter how far you leave it will go with you, wait patient and, in due course, will make an appearance. Will not stay forever, but it will leave to return.
It's like a relative’s visit, sometimes you enjoy it and wish him to stay longer and others is inappropriate and even tedious long. I could say that it is sometimes even necessary. Life goes uphill and there are times you fall down... but you can use this fall to gain momentum for the next hop.
When it invades you, you can perceive an inner silence in which you could feel the echo and at the same time your mind starts to utter words, facts, people ... with some consistency although in occasions unrelated; being yourself the only common point.
I let it get into me, I hear it, I feel it, even enjoy it. Sometimes it makes me feel good; others it immersed me in the dark. When this happens to me, I delight in it. I disappear for a while and when it leaves, I come back being me again.
Cycles that repeats over and over again.

Hace un par de semanas vino mi hermanita a verme el fin de semana y paseando por la calle Montera vi ésta falda en una de las tiendas y no pude menos que pararme, entrar en la tienda, probármela, pagarla y llevármela. Fue flechazo a primera vista. Me parece una auténtica monada!
La blusa es de Blanco de las rebajas de esta temporada.
El abrigo y los zapatos, Zara y Mango, son de otras temporadas, una inversión que hice en su momento que ha dado muy buen resultado.

Good morning!

A couple of weeks ago my little sister came to visit me for the weekend and walking down Montera Street, I saw this skirt in one of the shops and I could not but stop, enter in the store, try it on, pay it and take it. It was love at first sight. I think is fab!
The blouse is from Blanco’s sales from this season.
The coat and shoes, Zara and Mango, are from other seasons, I made an investment in time that has proved very successful.

Nightout with friends.

Buenos días!

Este fin de semana Joe Wolfwood y yo quedamos a cenar con unos amigos. Ellos ponían la casa y la cena y nosotros el vino y el postre. Para éste último, nos decantamos por una apuesta segura 100%, la pastelería Mallorca. La más cercana que teníamos era la de la calle Velázquez que tienen de todo. El personal es súper amable y educado. Cada vez que voy ahí es un placer para los cinco sentidos.
Después de la cena, fuimos a tomar una copa a Le Boutique, Serrano 45. Era la primera vez que iba y me gustó bastante el sitio, aunque mi recomendación es que vayáis a partir de la 1,30 aprox., ya que antes está bastante vacío. Nosotros nos fuimos antes de que empezase a llenarse, pero nos hemos propuesto volver pronto para disfrutar de una buena fiesta.
En fin, una noche muy agradable con muy buena compañía.

Good morning!

This weekend Joe Wolfwood and I were having dinner with some friends. They put the house and dinner up and we wine and dessert. For the latter, we opted for a 100% sure bet, the pastry Mallorca. The closest we had was the one in Velázquez Street, where they have everything. The staff is super friendly and polite. Every time I go there is a treat for the senses.
After dinner, we went for a drink at Le Boutique, Serrano 45. It was the first time I went and I quite liked the place, but my recommendation is that you go from 1.30am approx., as it is pretty empty before. We left before it began to fill, but we intend to return soon to enjoy a good party.
Anyway, a very pleasant evening with very good company.

Por lo que he visto, esta temporada vienen las faldas fluidas, las sudaderas, partes de arriba en cropped, plataformas (horror!), la ropa suelta, las cazadoras en todas sus versiones, aunque la que parece que más está triunfando es la modelo biker y el negro.

From what I've seen, this season comes the flowing skirts, sweatshirt, cropped tops, platforms (horror!), loose clothing, jackets in all its versions, although it seems that more is succeeding is the model biker and black.

JaJaHa! - English Comedy in Madrid.

Buenos días!

El jueves 13 fui con mi amigo el fotógrafo Joe Wolfwood al Beer Station, Cuesta Santo Domingo, 22, para ver unos monólogos e improvisaciones en inglés.
Os aseguro que llevaba mucho tiempo sin reírme tanto. En la primera parte actuaron Luis Álvaro, Esther Jimeno y Jorge Guerra y en la segunda los componentes de Freshly Squeezed nos deleitaron con varios juegos de improvisación donde el público era partícipe en todo momento.
Si vivís en Madrid o venís de visita os recomiendo muy altamente que vayáis a verlos. Es algo digno de ver. Eso sí, vuestro nivel de inglés tiene que ser aceptable ya que hablan como ingleses para ingleses. Casi todo el público era extranjero por lo que yo era la última en reírme, jeje! Aunque la mayoría de las veces ya me reía solamente viéndoles a ellos.
Si vais a ir, comprad la entrada por Atrapalo o similar para que os salga un poquitín más barata.

On Thursday, 13 I went with my friend Joe Wolfwood to Beer Station, Cuesta Santo Domingo, 22 , to see some monologues and improvisations in English.
I assure you I had long without laughing so much. In the first part Luis Alvaro, Esther Jimeno and Jorge Guerra acted and in the second part the components of Freshly Squeezed delighted us with several sets of improvisation where the audience was participating at all times.
If you live in Madrid or you come to visit I recommend you very highly go to see them. It is a sight to see. But your level of English should be acceptable as they speak English to English. Almost the entire audience was foreign so I was the last to laugh, hehe! Although most of the times I laughed just watching them.
If you're finally going, buy the entry by Atrapalo or similar so it will be a little bit cheaper.

5º aniversario de Necklace of Pearls.

El sábado estuve en mi primer encuentro con bloggers con motivo del quinto aniversario del blog de Necklace of Pearls.
Unas pocas fuimos las privilegiadas que pudimos disfrutar de un maravilloso desayuno por cortesía de The CupCake Moment. Estaba todo delicioso aunque tan bonito presentado que al principio nos daba pena tocarlo. Una vez dimos el primer bocado, ya no pudimos parar.
Allí nos esperaban las conocidísimas blogueras de Necklace of Pearls, 100 vestidos, By my heels y Amarás la moda. Junto con Ana Fernández Pardo, escritora del libro El backstage de los egoblogs, quién nos estuvo explicando cosas de su libro y de su vida. Estuvimos hablando con todas ellas y todas coincidimos en lo cercanas y simpáticas que son.
Pude conocer a otras chicas como Susana, Ali, Marta y Conchi, ésta última del blog Mumybelle. Casi con la sensación de que las conocía de hace más tiempo que una hora.
Me encantó poder hablar con Silvia, de Silvia is here. Después de haber intercambiado mensajes a través de nuestros blogs, Twitter e Instagram, al fin pudimos vernos en persona. Silvia venía con Salma, una perrita súper entrañable y cariñosa.
Nos hicimos fotos, nos reímos, comimos y tuvimos en primicia la venta de armario en exclusiva.
La verdad es que al principio iba con un poco de cosilla por timidez o vergüenza pero una vez allí me alegré de haberme decidido.
Quiero agradecer a las anfitrionas por la mañana tan in style que nos dieron.

Last Saturday I went to my first meeting with bloggers on the fifth anniversary of Pearls Necklace’s Blog.
A few of us were privileged to enjoy a wonderful breakfast courtesy of The CupCake Moment. It was all so pretty delicious although we originally submitted was sad touch. Once we took the first bite, and we couldn’t stop.
There the well-known bloggers of Necklace of Pearls, 100 dresses, By my heels and Amarás la moda were waiting for us. Along with Ana Fernandez Pardo, author of the book The backstage of egoblogs, who was explaining us things about her book and her life. We talked with all of them and we all agreed that they are very close and sympathetic.
I met other girls like Susana, Ali, Marta and Conchi, the latter from Mumybelle blog. I was with a sense that I knew them more time that an hour ago.
I loved being able to talk to Silvia, from Silvia is here. After exchanging messages through our blogs, Twitter and Instagram, we were finally able to meet in person. Silvia came with Salma, a super affectionate and loving puppy.
We took pictures, we laughed, ate and had a preview sale exclusively closet.
The truth is that at first was a bit of shyness or shame thingy but once there I was glad having decided to go. I
 want to thank the hosts because of the so in style morning we had.

What's new with... Zara?

Buenos días! Qué alegría da sentir que es viernes!

Las tiendas ya están inundadas de transparencias, colores suaves y mangas cortas y con el frío que hace tú piensas: “a mi ponme un chocolate caliente y unos buenos calcetines gordos”.
Pero como somos unas ansias, no podemos esperar y terminamos comprando bikinis en febrero… no vaya a ser que se acaben.
He estado echando un vistazo a la nueva temporada de Zara y, dejando aparte lo poco que lucen las modelos la ropa, he seleccionado para este post lo que más me ha llamado la atención.
Por lo que he podido ver vienen tiempos de pantalones skinny de tiro alto, seguimos con los escotes traseros y la pedrería, las transparencias están a la orden del día y los zapatos traen un tacón cuadrado bastante basto para mi gusto.

Good morning! Finally Friday!

Stores are already flooded by transparencies, soft colors and short sleeves and with such cold it makes you think, "I’ll have a hot chocolate and a good thick socks."
But as we are so eager, we cannot wait and we ended up buying bikinis in February... just in case they run out. I
've been taking a look at the new season of Zara and, apart from what poor models show off the clothes, I have chosen for this post what most caught my attention.
From what I've seen come times of high waisted skinny pants, we continue with the rear necklines and rhinestones, the transparencies are at the order of the day and shoes arrive with a square heel pretty rough for my taste.
Here is my selection:

Los guerreros de Xi'an.

Buenos días!

Hace unos días estuve en el Centro Cultural de la Villa Fernán Gómez viendo la exposición de los Guerreros de XI’AN. Hacía ya mucho tiempo que quería ir a verlos porque es un hallazgo arqueológico que siempre me ha llamado la atención y me ha atraído de forma inexplicable.
La exposición me pareció muy interactiva y accesible. Ordenado de tal forma que cuando llevas media exposición vista, tienes la sensación de que te han trasportado a otra época.
Puedes ver un documental sobre su historia y su hallazgo bastante completo desde cómo el rey Qin Shi Huang ordenó crear un conjunto de 8.000 figuras de terracota para proteger su tumba y conseguir la vida eterna hasta el estudio de las técnicas más avanzadas para preservar su estado.
Hay también un hueco para los más pequeños para que se sientan todo unos arqueólogos excavando o alfareros creando su propio guerrero de terracota.
Aún podéis visitarlo ya que han prorrogado hasta el 30 de marzo. No os lo podéis perder!

Good morning!

A few days ago I went to the Centro Cultural de la Villa Fernán Gómez watching the XI'AN Warriors exhibition. Long ago I wanted to go see them because it is an archaeological discovery that has always caught my attention and attracted me inexplicably.
The exhibition seemed very interactive and accessible. Organized in such a way that when you have seen half exhibition, you get the feeling you've been transported to another era.
You can see a documentary about its history and its discovery quite complete from how King Qin Shi Huang ordered set create 8,000 terracotta figures to protect his tomb and get eternal life to the study of the most advanced techniques to preserve their status .
There is also space for the little ones to feel like an archaeologist or a potter creating their own terracotta warrior.
You can still visit as they have extended until the 30th of March. You cannot lose it!
